Carol has signed her paintings as  "Fincher-Young", "Carol Young", "Carol F. Young", "Carol Fincher Young", "B.C. Fincher", "B.C. Young", "C. Young", "C. Fincher".  (B.C.Fincher is her original family name).

She works primarily in acrylics, with a keen eye for color and shape and motion.    An infinite and unexpected patience with tiny details is a hallmark of her work.   Yet other pieces are wild splashes of color.

Carol has an extensive background in design.   She has conceived, designed and produced artwork for hotels and restaurants, offices and homes.   She also did extensive frame design for high-end art galleries, a pleasurable offshoot of a business once owned.    Another facet of her career took her into fine jewelry design, a pleasure she still enjoys on occassion.

Currently at home in both the desert of Arizona and on a lake in Idaho, she travels extensively and draws from these experiences the essence of her art.

She is a flamboyant and charismatic personality, and entrances those she meets with her stories and love of life.
